  • For over a decade, the name “Bulletproof” has stood for nothing less than forward thinking future bass music.  In the early 90’s, his relentless passion and devotion to Drum & Bass established Jay as one of the nations pioneering D&B DJ’s and promoters.  His entrance into production in 99” alongside former production partner Josh, lead to Bulletproof becoming one of Australasia’s first international Drum & Bass exports, signing their tracks to one of the leading labels of the time, helping spawn the rise of the local future bass music production scene.
  • In 2007 Bulletproof ventured into the emerging realm of Dubstep production and then went on to win the highly prestigious award for “Best Electronica Album of 2010” at the 2010 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards with his album “Soundtrack To Forever”.  2011 Saw Bulletproof Sign a global deal with EMI music, which lead to the release of the “Dub Me Crazy” LP.  This Lead to Gold Sales in New Zealand, And subsequent VFNZMA nominations for “Best Electronica LP” and “Best Male Solo Artist”.
  • Not one to rest on his laurels, Bulletproof has now completed his next installment of future bass music in the for of the “Listen” LP.Due for release in feb/march2013.

    Geared towards DJ’s just as much as the mainstream audience, “Listen” incorporates the current trends in UK/US dubstep, but veers away from the relentless chainsaw style in favor of more bass heavy musical dance floor styles of beats.

    The first single “The Warning” featuring the bubbly vocal talents of Silva MC has already been coined the local summer anthem on the festival circuit around New Zealand.
